A World of Music is a week-long day camp for children ages 5-12, featuring group musical numbers and two one-hour sessions based on their interests. Teachers will help develop their musical talents, culminating in a final program for parents on Friday, June 27 at 7 p.m.
Child's Choice Of Two
Musical Theater
Children will learn theater secrets to unlocking stage presence and confidence while singing and dancing to selected musical pieces.
Rotation 1: age 5-9.
Rotation 2: age 9-12
Dance
Basic technique in dance will be taught with most of the class time being spent teaching a choreographed number for the Friday performance. Wear loose clothing; sports shoes or ballet slippers.

Silly Skits
Students will develop their stage skills with theater games and improv as they work to showcase their skills for a skit for the final concert.

Rhythm Band Jam
Aspiring musicians will delve into the artistic realm of rhythm in music and how to move their bodies and rhythm instruments to a particular song. The older class will crash and bang their sounds on trash cans.

Singsation
Let your voice be heard! Students will learn proper vocal techniques and stage presence as they practice singing solos in a group setting.

Sign Language
Utilizing the beautiful expression of sign language, children will learn the correct hand motions to a musical number and discover a new way to express themselves, using their hands.
Rotation 1: age 5-12
Ukulele
Chords and simple songs will be taught right away, thus encouraging children to want to learn more on this tropical island instrument. Soprano ukuleles provided.
