Our Launch

Trinity was established in 1968 by a pioneering group of Christ followers who desired to form a non-denominational, Bible believing, missions minded, charismatic church where the gifts of the Holy Spirit could be expressed and a true family atmosphere enjoyed.

Our Statement of Faith

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, our guide for determining what we believe and how we behave.
  • We believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit; perfect in love and justice, slow to anger, quick to forgive.
  • We believe in Jesus, God who became man: his virgin birth, his sinless life, his miracles, his atoning death on the cross, his bodily resurrection, his ascension to the right hand of the Father, and his future return in power and glory.
  • We believe that all people become children of God and are saved from their sins by putting their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.  Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.
  • We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify Jesus and to make Him known. The Holy Spirit gives new life, indwells, guides, instructs, develops character, and empowers believers with supernatural gifts.
  • We believe Jesus is still healing people through His church today:  physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
  • We believe that the sexual ethics of Jesus are timeless, healthy, and wise, that sex and marriage were designed by God to be enjoyed by a husband and his wife exclusively and that all other sexual relationships require repentance.
  • We believe that science and faith are friends.  We admire many of the world's greatest scientists who had a firm belief in God and a strong reliance upon reason.  We teach that the same God who created the world also inspired His Word and when properly understood, they complement rather than contradict each other.  The study of science and the study of Scripture are both important and highly encouraged.

Our Vision

We desire to see people encounter God, be transformed through His presence and grow in relationship with Him.  This happens through worship, God speaking to us through the Bible, prayer, and the gifts of the Holy Spirit.  We want people to enjoy friends so we seek to love all people by fostering community relevant to all ages, being a place where people can find healing and restoration (spiritually, emotionally, physically, relationally), and sharing the Gospel locally, globally, relationally.   We long for people to embrace purpose so we raise up leaders and equip believers for the work of the ministry.

Our Core Beliefs

God's Word - We believe in the authenticity and reliability of the Bible as God's revelation to mankind of His love, redemptive work in the world and will for our lives.

God's Victory - We believe in the finished work of Jesus and that the enemy is defeated.  We are invited to live abundantly in the supernatural work of God including healing, miracles, signs and wonders.

God's Calling - Every believer is a beloved son or daughter of His kingdom.  We equip the saints to fulfill their calling as an ambassador of Christ in the church, community, and world.  There is nothing more relevant than bringing Jesus to our needy world.

Our Core Values

Cultivating God's Presence - We believe in God's overwhelming goodness.  Our connection with God is our highest priority.  From the place of prayer, worship and abiding in His presence we find restoration, desire and power to do everything else.

Hearing God's Voice - The Bible leads us to Him and is our manual for life.  We believe God is always speaking, that we can hear from Him and He can speak into our lives through others.

Heartfelt Obedience - Transformation comes when we walk in the direction of our prayers and do what Jesus commands us, in the strength He provides, and as an overflow of His life in us through the Holy Spirit.  We aspire to support and equip each person to discover and walk out God's call on their life.

Extravagant Love - We desire to do all things with love, honor and respect, even to those who hold different views; as Jesus extravagantly loves us, we want to love and serve others.

Our Leadership Team

At Trinity we believe strongly that our ministers are all the members of the congregation, men and women, young and old.  We are passionate about equipping and releasing the next generation of Christian leaders, pastors, worship leaders, and missionaries.

  • Scott Smith - Lead Pastor

Pastor Scott has been in pastoral ministry since 1987 and began serving at Trinity in 1995 as a youth pastor.  Pastor Scott has also served as Trinity's children's pastor.  He became Trinity's Lead Pastor in 2019.  Pastor Scott received his Bachelor's and Master’s degrees from Pacific Christian College in Fullerton, California.

Scott grew up going to church, but at sixteen he noticed a group of his peers were totally sold out for Jesus.  God convicted him that there was more to life than trying to be good and going to church, so he completely surrendered his life to Jesus, was baptized in the Holy Spirit, and has been serving Jesus ever sense.  Scott married his wife, Andrea, in 1992 and is blessed with three children, Noah, Eden, and Samuel. He loves sports, hiking, reading, going to movies, playing games like Scrabble and Backgammon, and exploring new fine dining restaurants. He is also an avid Suns, Cardinals and Diamondbacks fan.

  • Kevin Hartke - Associate Pastor

Kevin Hartke has been a pastor at Trinity since 1985. He was the Senior Pastor from 1992-2018. In 2019, Pastor Kevin became the Mayor of Chandler and an Associate Pastor at Trinity.  He has a BS in biochemistry from the University of Missouri and a MA in Theology from Fuller Seminary.

Kevin has been married to Lynne for over 35 years. They have four awesome children, Nathan, Aleah, Katelyn and Zachary; one incredible daughter in-law Rachel, one phenomenal son in-law Todd Butler, and three of the smartest, and amazing grandchildren ever:  Micah, Madelyn, and Benjamin! Before moving to Arizona, Kevin and Lynne worked with Cree and Ojibwe native Americans for five years in Minnesota and Canada.

Kevin grew up in a Catholic home, but he radically surrendered his life to Jesus at the age of 21 while attending a Christian campus ministry at the University of Missouri.  Kevin loves to bring encouragement and freedom found in Christ to individuals, families and a community. He has a call to leadership and influencing government. In this capacity he served as a city councilman for the City of Chandler and Director of "For Our City, Chandler", a faith initiative uniting faith communities, non-profits, government and the business community across the city to collaborate, volunteer and serve together. Kevin also served on regional boards and commissions addressing transportation, economic development, and human services.

When he finds free time, he likes to hike, bike, work out, talk with people, be active in the community, and champion his wife's, children's and grandchildren's endeavors.

  • Georgia Hasslacher - Worship Pastor

Georgia Hasslacher, along with her husband Eric and a group of talented and dedicated musicians and vocalists, has been leading worship at Trinity Christian Fellowship since late 2009. Georgia is a singer and songwriter with a passion to see people connect with and have lasting and meaningful encounters with Jesus during times of corporate worship.

Besides being a devoted wife to her best friend and husband Eric and raising four gifted and much loved sons, Georgia has also poured her life into multiple types of ministry both on and off the platform. She and her family have had an opportunity to minister in many other countries including Africa, Scotland and the Netherlands both in speaking, healing ministry and worship leading capacities. Georgia has found great joy in leading worship in multiple venues. She and husband Eric have been privileged to lead worship in churches in many other parts of the world, prisons, neighbor's homes, fellowship groups, and even once on an upside down bucket in a hospice facility.

Georgia grew up in a very liberal, spiritual, and non-religious home, but became a follower of Jesus around age 10 after responding to an altar call while visiting her cousin's church.  Georgia started writing songs for her family at around 4 years of age. She has continued to write music and published an album in 2006 and she and her husband are currently working on finishing a new project.

Georgia also enjoys children's literature and is working on finishing a children's book for publication. Georgia loves being with her family and friends, learning new things, collaborating with other musicians, as well as shoe shopping, good coffee and eating gelato!
